Dryopteris affinis

It is magnificent garden fern. Bearing a shuttlecock of long upright, pale green fronds with contrasting brown, scaley stems in spring. Stays green in mild winters. Placed best in a shadey position, but will also tolerate sun.

Dryopteris atrata

It is a very special and beautiful fern with dark green fronds and black stems. Best grown in part or full shade, moist, well-drained soil.

Dryopteris erythrosora

It is a very striking deciduous fern with triangular-shaped fronds, which are copperyred when young and slowly mature to dark green. Needs plenty of moisture. Cut back dacayed fronds in winter to allow new growth to emerge. Height: 50-70 cm   /  Hardiness: -20 ºC / Available in c5L - ø23 cm


Polystichum polyblepharum

This fern has dark green, glossy, overlapping fronds and amazing scales, which makes it very elegant for the shade garden. It enjoys consistently moist soil in full to part shade.

Polystichum setiferum

Elegant semi-evergreen fern, often used in bouquets. With its spreading, lance shaped tripinnate fronds it has a very lacey appearance. Loves a part shade to full shade position and is best grown in moist, well-drained soils.
